Mortgage rates eased this week. Mortgage News Daily's Thursday readings put the 30 year at 7.19% and the 15 year at 6.81%, down from Wednesday's one year highs of 7.24% and 6.84%. The 10 year Treasury closed Thursday at 4.94%, though it was back at 5.00% Friday morning.

Four homes joined, one left
Newark's buyable list of houses and townhomes went from 67 to 70. Four homes arrived. One was relisted, one is back on the list after a long stretch away, and the rest are brand new to the market. One home left the list and is off today's sheet.
The relist is the one to watch. That house came off the list on Wednesday and is back today as a fresh listing at a lower price.
Newly listed in Newark
The 7 newly listed homes are all houses, most with three bedrooms.
Ten homes sit in the coming soon queue, the same as Thursday, and eight houses and townhomes are priced under a million.
What we would do with this
If you are buying, three of the four arrivals landed in the same price band, so that band suddenly has real choice, and a relisted home is often the most negotiable house on the street. If you are selling, today's relist at a lower price is the market talking: at 7% money, the list price has to be right on day one.
